I recognize that caregiving often comes with financial strain. To make this program more accessible, I offer the 8 weeks at $100 per 50 minute session.
Week 1: Understanding the Caregiver Identity
- Explore personal identity and how caregiving has shifted your roles.
- Normalize common emotions (guilt, frustration, love, resentment).
- Activity: Identity timeline or caregiving map.
Week 2: Boundaries Without Guilt
- What healthy boundaries look like in caregiving.
- Identifying areas of over-functioning.
- Practice assertive communication.
- Workbook activity: Personal boundary inventory.
Week 3: Burnout vs Compassion Fatigue
- Recognize signs of burnout and emotional exhaustion.
- Discuss the difference between burnout and compassion fatigue.
- Build a personal energy management plan.
Week 4: Grief and Ambiguous Loss
- Process anticipatory grief and ambiguous loss.
- Normalize grief even when loved ones are still alive.
- Reflective journaling prompts on letting go and holding on.
Week 5: The Role of Guilt and Shame
- Unpack internalized expectations and self-judgment.
- Understand the roots of caregiver guilt.
- Group sharing (optional) + guided self-compassion meditation.
Week 6: You Are Still You
- Reconnect with your values, interests, and dreams.
- What parts of yourself feel lost—and which are growing?
- Workbook activity: Rediscovering joy worksheet.
Week 7: Asking for and Accepting Help
- Barriers to receiving support (internal and external).
- Build a practical support network.
- Practice script writing and role-playing difficult asks.
Week 8: Integration and Moving Forward
- Review what’s been learned.
- Develop a sustainable caregiving/life balance plan.
- Closing ritual: Letter to self or vision board exercise.
